AKC Canine Good Citizen Class 

For All Ages - See Below for Prerequisite*


The Canine Good Citizen test is a nationally recognized program that instills a sense of responsibility and good manners in dogs and owners alike. The heart of the CGC program is the 10-step CGC test. Passing the test is also required by many therapy organizations. 

 

*Prerequisite - Previous training class or with a private trainer using positive reward based methods.  This class is not appropriate for dogs who show reactivity to dogs or humans.

Class Times
Mondays - 6:45pm, May 22 - July  3 (no class
May 29)

Each class is 60 minutes long. The cost is $195.

In this class we’ll help you and your dog

fine tune your skills to pass the 10 items

of the AKC Canine Good Citizen test below:

 
-Accepting a friendly stranger
-Sitting politely for petting
-Appearance and grooming
-Out for a walk (walking on a loose leash)
-Walking through a crowd
-Sit and down on cue and stay in place
-Coming when called
-Reaction to another dog
-Reaction to a distraction
-Supervised separation.


A test will be offered after the class is finished.

Missed classes and refunds:

We will miss you if you are unable to attend a class or classes after registration.  Unfortunately,  we are unable to offer make up classes . 

If you have paid and are unable to come to class at all, we will refund your money with advance notice.

No refunds after the first class.
